It was real embarrassing. Careful out there, folks.

You may know from ‘Deep from his alter ego Trikeasaurus, or his residential parklet occupied by a topiary triceratops. Well, here’s yet another notch on his resume of heartwarming neighborhood quirks: ‘Deep is getting hitched today at noon, during Sunday Streets, in his parklet! (And I hear they’re giving out cupcakes to passersby.)

It’s the first Friday of the month, and you know what that means! And no, I’m not talking about some silly art walk.  It’s time to break out those saddle shoes and get your butt over to one of the best dance parties in town going off at the Knockout tonight!

Sadly, I just sprained my MCL playing soccer last weekend and the doctor said NO DANCING for 6-8 weeks, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the fun!  Don’t forget to RSVP and invite your friends here.

Now that word’s all over (internet) town that Woody Allen is filming his new movie here in SF and even specifically in the Mission at times, and we’ve even argued over which one of us may actually be Woody Allen, some are beginning to wonder, what does Woody in the Mission sound like?

And lest you assume this to be an old photo, check out the marquee for Warhorse on the side panel (Aug 2 to Sept 9). Of course, this may also just be another ghost bus sighting. Spooky!

Check out this music video that the youth media producers at BAYCAT (where I work) made this summer, shot in Dolores Park. These native San Franciscan producers (10-13 years old) wrote and produced the song with amazing Bay Area producer Trackademicks and shot the video with DP Laura Valladao. The video is part of the 24th installment of their youth-produced show, Zoom In. The theme for this one is “Only in SF”.

You might have heard that they had all of their laptops stolen a couple weeks ago, along with a lot of their work. We have an Indigogo campaign going to replace their equipment, and have been really touched with the support. They came back together and re-did the lost work, look for more of it rolling out over the net few weeks on the BAYCAT YouTube channel.

Some filmmakers are working on a profile of the folks that live and work at Project Artaud, the artist community on Florida Street. Here’s the deal:

For the uninitiated, this video is meant to be our “proof of concept.”  In other words, the film above is a trailer for a longer piece we hope to shoot starting January 2013.  Between now and 2013, we’ll be finishing pre-production and raising money.

Project Artaud is our maiden subject.  Eventually, we hope to expand our scope to include artist communities located both nationally and internationally.  If all goes well, Shared Vision will become a series of 30 minute videos on artist communities throughout world.
