Consider this Facebook update from a friend of mine in another city:
Our pal Logan just invented something wild:
A kaleidoscope and a postcard fell in love and had beautiful babies that you can buy for $10. Send them to your friends!
Kaleidograms are brand new. They reveal a message in colors or shapes when held up to the light. Slide it between your fingers, and with a satisfying *click*, the message will change before your eyes.
In the comments section of our post from last week about long-gone Mission rock club 12 Galaxies, reader Skyscraper offers another little remembrance:
I miss that place! I worked there from ’05-the end. We used to play pool and poker til the cleaners showed up and then go to clooney’s.
Oh the bad old days…
Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
Our pal Corntard overheard one important theory:
Yeah but with Bill Murray, and Aziz.
(Bender’s rules!)

Black and white pics from the Financial District and beyond. Shot with my Nimslo and some Tri-X film.
We sort of advocated hopping the fence when the park was closed, but that got people all mad. The above seems like a much better idea!
