Mission Mission

My friend Lindsay noticed this sign  and found it more than a little odd.  Now, I understand the not feeding the pigeons part, that’s a given — it’s the second part of the message that worries me.  What other animals are they referring to that live in the Mission, particularly ones that live in or around 16th Street?

Is it giant subway rats?  Escaped monkeys?  Or perhaps El Chupacabra never left and has been roaming the streets terrorizing BART denizens and eating leftover tamales discarded in area trashcans!

Poor little guy didn’t stand a chance against that truck. Now he’s a glorified hood ornament/fender cushion cruising around the Mission.   Maybe he’s lucky for not being made into shark fin soup? Or the newest oddity at Paxton Gate?

Girls Girls Girls is down in South America somewhere right now, in a town where horses behave like pigeons. They’re wild, they’re dirty and sickly, and they eat trash. What a world!

We’ve had some classics lately, this one captured expertly by outbound.

I declare, more walks to the top of Mt. Bernal are in order.

But why is this trap just sitting unattended on a section of 24th Street in the middle of the night? Somebody plug this piece into an Ecto-Containment Unit where it belongs!

See ‘em? I hope you saw ‘em, because, as you probably know, that was your last chance to see an American space shuttle do anything
