3D City: When it rains

3D City is a year long stereoscopic photography project by Doctor Popular.

Soak up some rainy day wigglegrams, courtesy of a rusty old Nimslo camera and a soggy roll of Ilford HP5. Speaking of, thanks to all the folks who have helped keep the film rolling by supporting 3D City’s Patreon project.

3D City: Color Mission

A bunch of scenes from right around Mission and 19th. Mission Jewelry & Loan, the old El Capitan marque, the skeleton of a bike, and ashes from a small church fire. Shot on a vivid roll of Kodak’s Portra film.

BTW, I’ve recently launched a Patreon for my stereoscopic photo project, thanks to everyone who’s kicked in so far and helped me reach the first goal.

3D City: Powell

15 minutes at Powell Street turnaround. I got to a downtown photo-walk 15 minutes early, so I snapped these shots (and a bunch others) all off while waiting for the walk to start. Crazy cause I never really had that much luck shooting there before.

This is the second roll of Ilford HP5 I’ve shot this month, and I think it works great for this project. The thing is that it’s rather expensive. The folks at Photoworks have been helping this project out with some deals on developing, but I wanted to ask you guys for help to. If you dig 3D city, kick in two bucks on my Patreon to help the good film coming.

3D City: Step by Step

Walk around photographing the city long enough and you’ll end up with plenty of photos of stairs. I was building up quite a collection and thought they deserved their own post.

“I like a escalator, man, ’cause an escalator can never break. It can only become stairs.” – Mitch Hedberg
