Honestly, I didn’t even read this poster or click on a link to find out what it is all about because it is a cat drinking Hamm’s.

Whoever made this is my new favorite finger painter.

Previously on Mission Mission:
Capp @ 19th. Seriously, this is some sad shit. The clueless thing is propped up on a compost bin just running around in his wheel.
Amber writes in with an update on Four Barrel’s business model and accompanying photo:
Four Barrel has returned to it’s roots and reopened the alley for coffee service!
In addition to the full cafe in the front, you can now get tasty espresso and coffee drinks to enjoy in one of SF’s picturesque alleyways, located around the back of the cafe/roastery on Valencia between 14th and 15th.
Enter off 15th, just east of Valencia, and walk down Caledonia alley.
Glad to hear the shop is keeping it real. Looking forward to scoping out the new barista (or should I say BARKista, HELLO!) in person.
P.S. If anyone can think of a pun that incorporates both dogs and coffee, PLEASE, for the love of blog, help a girl out.
Wow! A week or so ago, I made jokey reference to replacing the frogs in Mission Mission’s header. In response, reader Pat sends in a suggestion:
Random!! I read that you guys were wanting a new mascot to replace the 2 frogs in the header. I keep Cartoon Brew in my RSS reader right below Mission Mission. Today they posted about Mish Mish:
He’s public domain by now. In case you want some crudely animated antique egyptian propaganda, that’s as far as I can possibly think of from having anything to do with the Mission.
Mish Mish! Things get pretty trippy around the 3:30 mark.
Thanks very much for the suggestion, Pat, but I really don’t want to alienate any more of our Egyptian readers. It’ll have to be a no on Mish Mish for mascot.
Sigh. I suppose that pair of simultaneously-farting frogs will have to stay.
Photo and title by James. We are what we eat, y’all!
I can’t stop looking at this image. This, plus the negative NYT review of Jonathan Safran Foer’s Go Veg book (which changed Natalie Portman’s life, just like The Shins) I read mere minutes before receiving this photo has given me a lot to think about today. I’d call it “food for thought,” but that’d be way too much of a mindfuck.
Scene at Paxton Gate, that amazing place next to 826 Valencia. Please buy me Hamlet mouse.
From everyday photos. Incredible.
I googled this line from the bathroom wall at Cafe Petra (17th & Guerrero) to see if any lyrics came up.
They didn’t. But this Quail Diary did.
Is someone in the Mission promoting this bird blog with a bathroom scrawl? Probably not. But it’s nice to think about.

I pass by this li’l guy etched into the sidewalk on 23rd/Valencia every morning and always assumed it said MM. I took a closer look today and see it’s actually an MK bird. Not a Mission Mission mascot, I guess.
Sigh. I suppose that pair of frogs taking a dump will have to stay.
