Sure it’s photoshopped, but it’s still great.

Ben sent us the above photo – a scene outside the Latino Culinary Academy on Florida/19th. Four pairs of boots in all. Three contracted black lung in the coal mines and died.
Hayden wrote in with news of her Mission-based online vintage shop called Mother’s Daughter a few days ago and I’ve only just now had a chance to peruse the website. I’m a sucker for online shopping and one-of-a-kind dresses and was excited by what I saw.
Such quality finds! Such decent prices! Such friendly user interface and lovely photography! Oh, and here’s what Hayden has to say:
Hi! I just opened an online vintage shop based in the mission. I shot a lot of the photos for the store on film on the roof of the building next to my apartment at 18th and mission, i’ve attached a couple just to give you an idea. The website is called Mother’s Daughter and can be found at: www.mothersdaughter.com. We hope to not just limit ourselves to selling clothes and soon want to begin selling local artists & photographers prints, handmade items and really whatever my friends in the mission are making. Hope you enjoy-wanted to give a heads up!
Seriously. If you walked into a party wearing this late ’60s Pierre Cardin number, panties would DROP:
Check it out if you want. Or whatever, Mission Thrift is fun too.
Fashion inspiration: “I guess right now: Zimbabwe militia, like an Elizabethan King, and the Black Panthers.”
I was going to get all animal rights on this photo, but I think it is best that I just keep my mouth shut and leave the bucket of red paint in the garage.
Yeah, this isn’t happening in the Mission, but they have tats, are wearing a hella cool tshirt, and look absolutely elated. I love this photo.
Just spotted this (hopefully) hipster-ironic post on Ohad’s photoblog and couldn’t help but note how slutted the use of the word “Hipster” has become lately. I mean, I was downtown the other day and two 30-something bodybuilder types in Armani suits were cackling that some dude that didn’t have his light-blue button-up tucked in was a hipster. ”Hipster” has become a meaningless, all-encompassing term for everyone in this town. Let’s just rename “Hipster Hill” “Tallboy Terrace” and be done with it.
Proof It’s Always Sunny is probably the best show ever made.
I absolutely cannot wait to watch people rolling around Dolores Park with these bad boys on.
