Sharp-Dressed Man

I rode Muni today for the first time in ages, and had fun. Way slower than biking, but I got to see this fine ensemble. I love the way the bag sort of matches the pants, and the way they contrast with the flashy-sneakers-and-dressy-socks combo. Those are the best Pumas I’ve seen in a long time!

P.S. Muni Diaries Live is Friday!

Zombie Kill (Also, Free Halloween Costume Up For Grabs)

Todd Lappin came upon this gruesome scene out back of the U.S. Bank Building. Says he:

[F]ear not… this zombie won’t be terrorizing the Mission anymore. No sir.  I think he came from Texas.

Ha! And phewf!

Wolverine Party

unionmade, wolverine, 1,000 mile boot, san francisco, mensware, fashion, workwear

It’s a man’s world, so break out the flannel and brush your beard this Thursday to hit up Unionmade‘s big boot debut. The rough-and-tumble mensware store is kicking off an brand new edition of Wolverine’s 1,000 mile boot with a workwear affair to rival a caber toss; but we know the real reason you’re going: the cocktails.

Another Great Sweatshirt

On the heels of a pretty good sweatshirt and the best sweatshirt ever comes this really cool sweatshirt. On sale now at a store on Mission at 19th.

San Francisco in Breasts

All of Them Witches has a contest on right now:

Please provide a rational explanation of this shirt I bought from one of those bulk vendors on Mission St.

Your prize will be determined by the amount of ration you provide.

Good luck! The associations seem to be completely arbitrary, so you’ll need it.

Also, no Mission? Well, what kind of cartoon breasts should represent the Mission?

Best Sweatshirt Ever?

Or best article of clothing ever? You be the judge:

Wow. I get winded from excitement just looking at this crummy picture of it. Look at the placement of the cars! What? What a completely perfect thing!

Here it is again with its lucky owner, Noah:

Don't Worry, Officer, I Have A Permit

San Francisco Map Copper Cuff

Fugu Designs fabricated this killer piece of jewelry just for you:

This copper cuff bracelet was photo etched using a map from 1909.

Streets run from 29th to Buena Vista and Douglas to Noe.

The recesses were highlighted for contrast and the face is protected with a layer of Renaissance Wax.

Made from a 6 inch length of copper, the bracelet measures 2.5 inches across and 2 inches tall. It’s a standard medium but has a little give.

Only one available! Buy it now!

(There’s also a Detroit and a Chicago and some other stuff.)

The Best-Dressed Band in the Mission Last Night

Was Dirty Cupcakes. Normally they dress more or less normal, but last night they opted for Sailor Moon chic. Here is frontwoman Lauren’s lower half (I think she said the boots were like $10 at the Halloween store, FYI.):

And here’s drummer Laura getting her collar popped by the band’s personal stylist, Colin:

Bass player Sola looked fab too, but we didn’t get any pictures :(

P.S. Give them a listen. I particularly like “Get Out.”
