Local bag makers Chrome have relaunched their newly expanded in-store custom bag program, and it is RADICAL. Not only do you get to design the Chrome bag of your dreams, you get to watch Michael (bag sewer extraordinaire) put it together and make your dreams a reality right in front of your eyes. With loads of new colors, fabrics, and accouterments to chose from, you could literally spend hours picking out your new bag.
We were lucky enough to check out the process for ourselves, and got to create what could possibly be the COOLEST BAG in the history of bags. Check it out after the jump:
To celebrate its 7,500th post, Sexpigeon is selling t-shirts featuring this dazzling new custom logo. Read all about the process here, or go straight to the shirt store.
Congrats, Team Sexpigeon!
Apex is one of the more notable figures in the street art world. Kiya Babzani is possibly the most notable figure in the world of epic denim. Together, they are bringing epic denim to the gallery wall, in sort of a street art fashion I imagine. But I really have no idea what to expect.
The party starts at 7pm at White Walls.

It is reminiscent of Mission Mission’s most trafficked post of all time, but somehow I don’t think this one is poised to take off in quite the same way.
DocPop posted a piece on why he spends a shit-ton of money on clothes. Sure, looks are probably part of it, but there are also practical reasons: better fits, longevity, and breathability. For example:
Through working this intimately with denim I learned to ditch polysynthetics and embrace cotton, wool, and leather. Not only do these materials breath better, but leather and cotton have the bonus of getting better looking with age.
I know lots of folks have differing opinions on this, but we definitely have an artificial sense of the value of clothes. Have you ever tried to make them? I have a crafty friend who started to get into it and said, “I don’t know why all dresses don’t cost like $500, this shit is hard.”

I love them! But are we still supposed to boycott Coors because they’re anti-gay or something? Coors rules!
