Hey, you lost your hair

Wait, it’s kind of triangular. It’s not a merkin, is it? Oh dear.

Three new childhood-themed pixel art t-shirts by David Cole

David of course is most famous for being one of the architects of the beautifully designed website you’re currently reading, but he’s also got many other talents. This latest batch of offerings just gives me tickle after tickle, and they’re all available in a wide variety of sizes and colors. David explains:

There are about a million adorable articles of clothing one can buy for one’s baby, but I wanted to do something special for my own son. I put together a few designs inspired by my favorite themes from children’s toys and games. I shared them with some friends and the response was so positive, I’ve decided to put them up for sale.

But don’t worry, there are adult sizes too! Read on for more talk and pics or go straight to the shirt store.

CONTEST: Win a limited edition SF Pride-themed bag by Juanita MORE! and Rickshaw Bagworks!

Joe Montana from Rickshaw Bagworks gives us the skinny:

We’re excited to announce the MORE! City Tote.

Each bag is:
• Made from scratch in our own SF factory
• Features a special edition print by San Francisco artist Jim Winters.
• Donates 25% of each sale to the SF LGBT Center

This new drag bag is based on our City Tote and as you can see the bag is pretty loud (I mean there’s a rainbow coming out of our famous cable car) so we’ve made it in two options “Pop!” and “Subtle” for the more subdued supporter.

Last year the MORE! Messenger bag + Juanita MORE! Pride Party ticket sales helped raise over $27,000 for the GSA network and we’re hoping to push that number again this year.

Sounds good to me! Buy the bag (and see the “Subtle” version) here.

To win one, tell us your best Pride-related anecdote. (Mine would be the time I was dancing with Wam Bam Ashleyanne at the Hard French party last year when all of a sudden another dancer elbowed the mouth of my Anchor Steam straight into my face, giving me a gnarlily chipped tooth and a piercing headache — but I danced and drank the pain away and ended up rubbing my balls on my friend David Kelso’s handlebars and leaving him a 10-minute voicemail telling him all about it, in a high-pitched Scottish accent for some reason. Then we had a late-night dinner at Beretta, and my awesome dentist Dr. Noordeh fixed me right up a few days later.) Contest ends at noon on Friday. Winner will be chosen based on merit and awarded the MORE! City Tote of his or her choosing, as well as a private tour of Rickshaw Bagwork’s impressive facility in the Dogpatch.

CONTEST: Win a summer scarf, made locally by Stolen Sunday

Jacy from Stolen Sunday tells us a bit about the summer scarf collection:

Zebra print, neons and mints – oh my! We are in two stores in the Mission currently, Wonderland SF and Density.

To win one, tell us your best needing-a-scarf-in-the-summertime-in-San Francisco story in the comments section below. A winner will be chosen based on merit. Contest ends at noon on Friday. See the whole collection here. Winner gets to pick any item priced $45 or below.

Sweet vintage REI backpack

Only $68 or something at Afterlife on Valencia. Probably worth it, tbh. A good backpack is hard to find.

Spock vs. Noisy Punk Rocker T-shirt now available at Lost Weekend

Lost Weekend Video has had no shortage of awesome original tees, and the latest is no exception. Check out their recreation of the pivotal Spock vs. Noisy Punk Rocker on MUNI scene from Star Trek IV:

Here is that scene, in case you’re not nerdy enough to know what I’m talking about:

If you’ve ever been curious about time traveling to 1805 Austria all you gotta do is pop in this pooper and dial 1-323-459-4303. Right around the corner from Rhea’s, or is it Circle K?

Smell like a bro for $5

Are you really that different from a bro? I mean, you like athletics (biking is sporty!), drinking lots of beers, sports teams (everyone liked the Giants that one time last year!), and babes. Also your respective neighborhoods are both super-expensive to live in. Half way there already!

And now you can finally smell like one:

Complete the look for $5 at Big Lots on Mission and 29th.
