We saw some cheer leading going on so we offered our horse masks.
Why not? Thanks, Mike! This is almost as cute as the barfing horse from earlier!

Congratulations to Cyd for this epic photo that pretty perfectly sums up the Hard French experience and serves as the winner of our free ticket photo contest! We’re sure you and your friend will have a similarly magnificent time this Sunday, because Pride is finally upon us this weekend and Hard French is ready to celebrate like never before with a whole lineup of DJs and other fun stuff in additon to special guest Erase Errata!
And for the rest of you who might not remember all the details, check them out here!
I’ve expressed my love for Hard French in the past and have been exhorting you all to see what the fun is all about for some time, and now you have the perfect opportunity: The Hard French 2011 Pride Party at Public Works on Sunday, June 26th! They folks behind this weekly afternoon party are kicking it up a notch for Pride with DJs and live performances by some of the fiercest acts in the Bay Area.
The best part is that we’re giving away two free tickets to whichever MM readers post the raddest Hard French photo in the comments below! Include a link to the photo (and a caption if you’re clever) and we will announce the winner at the beginning of next week! If you have a Facebook photo, be sure that it’s set to “public” so everyone can see it, or just post it on Flickr or something.
Oh my. I almost forgot to mention that the special guest will be Erase Errata! Check out the full press release after the jump:

It’s not really a question, it’s more of a fact. The highlight of this year’s Bay to Breakers was the return of KID CHICKEN, the best dancer in the Panhandle under the age of 12
This kid’s got moves I’ve never seen. Check out the video from his 2009 performance and TELL ME this Kid Chicken isn’t bound for greater things beyond dancing for drunken onlookers once a year.

Are you itching to party in San Francisco’s arbitrarily-named neighborhood Somisspo? Well Bikes and Beats is going down there this Friday at Public Works. ‘Deep, who you know as the guy on the speaker-loaded tricycle, will be among the many DJs of the evening, so expect such crowd pleasers as MJ’s “Don’t stop ’til you get enough” . There will be eats, prizes, and bike crafts.
If you want to make a whole night of it, the event takes place at right after the Friday 7:30pm SF Bike Party, AKA the “nice” Critical Mass with bouncy castles. And don’t worry: there will be bike valet to handle the venue’s dire bike parking situation.
If you find yourself with a weary soul tomorrow night, consider reviving it at El Patio with “fresh blossoming funk, disco, italo, electro, and freestyle which is sure to help you revive your weary soul.” For the low price of $3.
This warming technique was captured by gonzo street photographer Corntard on Mission Street last night. It looks like it’s definitely working.
And look! The kooks over at Mission Mission on Tumblr have already put together a kickass mashup.
Here’s a 270º panorama I made of the fire truck climbing and dancing crowd.
