Bay Area Bike Share, like many bike sharing programs, is awesome. Expanding into the Mission and other neighborhoods is going to make it TOTALLY awesome.

I myself can’t make it to the meeting, but as long as there are stations at Dolores Park, St. Francis Fountain and the Secret Alley, I should be okay.

Tunes4Tubes, the annual party and fundraiser for the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition, is going down tonight at the Rickshaw Stop.

The lineup includes hometown funk/soul masters Con Brio and Whiskerman plus the Balkan-fusion outfit Cradle Duende and comedy from Sean Keane; silent auction items include prints and photography from SF artists and gift certificates for massages, sweet bike gear, and local food and booze. What more could you want? Stop being so demanding.

Although a somewhat controversial subject considering the limited parking spaces in the city, pretty much everyone who doesn’t have to worry about finding a parking spot for their vehicle has nice things to say the whole phenomenon of PARKing Day and parklets.  Well, here’s your chance to chat with the guy who started it all:

Join us Sunday, July 21 as Design Cycle welcomes Matthew Passmore, co-founder of Rebar Group, for a tactile and conversational exploration of urban prototyping, an emerging movement that makes city design more innovative, collaborative and immediate.

Come early to experience an urban prototyping parklet with modular furniture, stage, live music and bicycle street food. The Urban-Proto-Parklet party begins at 6pm. Matthew takes the stage at 7pm to help us re-imagine public space.
