Maybe the Turtles have been using porta potties as their secret enter/exit strategy all along! That would explain the recent addition of porta potties at Dolores Park, right? Regardless, I did not go inside to investigate further.
From the Macaframa website:
The event is finally upon us. Please come out to support a good cause and race and drink with your friends. There will be great prizes for the racers, as well as for our raffle, and cheap drink specials from Fernet and PBR! A portion of the proceeds will go to the SF Bike Messengers Association’s Broken Bones Fund
The race will be fixed only and will be an alleycat format. The event will have a DJ set and live performance by Nick Waterhouse and the Tarots, who have been blowing UP lately!
I know first hand how expensive it to be hit by a car while biking, and these guys take that risk and pay the price everyday doing their jobs. So why not enjoy some PBR and take in a good show to help them out? And if you’re feeling adventurous, jump in the race too! If I had a fixie, I would totally be all over it — anyone got a lender bike?

I love walking by the 23rd and Guerrero Market at night. It reminds me of that scene in Lady and the Tramp where they’re eating meatballs — it’s so back alley but adorable at the same time.
You know you want to help save a killer radio station, so stop on by and check out some rad bands, maybe have a beer or two, see what happens.

I’ve been to a few of these Chrome events before, and not only are they a good time, but I’ve also snagged some pretty sick deals in the process (bright yellow messenger bag, you can do no wrong).
Is it true? According to Mission Cheese’s Facebook page:
It’s official. Mission Cheese will be open to the public tomorrow, April 13. Free high fives all day!
Besides high fives and cheese, they’ll also be serving wine, beer, and various food items such as mac ‘n’ cheese and pressed sandwiches. Go get your gouda on!
