What do you think this bear’s costume is? Spy vs Spy? Alec Baldwin from Beetlejuice? Some kind of fetishist? A bird?

I hope you got a chance to walk around the neighborhood and check out all of the free literary expression Saturday night. The crowd at Muddy Waters is seen above, but every venue was similarly packed with eager listeners.
Snap Judgement at the Elbo Room was my personal highlight.
My friend Sole ran across this on her way to work this morning. I guess they hadn’t opened yet though.
Street Food meet Street Drink.
[Thanks Sole!]
Local band Windham Flat have a rad new Mission-based music video directed by Robin Moore (whom you may remember from that The Lonely Island-esque jokey bike rap video) of their song Keep Comin’ Back Around, from the EP of the same name. If you’ve played ping pong with us before, you may recognize their performance room.

This Wednesday night Muni Diaries invites you to once again grab a drink and not only listen to other people’s stories of the wackiness that is life on Muni, but to jump up and tell your own!
The evening will be a mix of returning MDL storytellers and opportunities for audience members to take the mic. That story about that time that that stuff happened on Muni? Get up and tell it!
Wednesday, 9/28, at The Elbo Room (647 Valencia St.) – Open mic signup starts at 6:30, show is from 7-9pm. $5 at the door and free drink with admission.
More at Muni Diaries.
