All the songs I sang at karaoke in 2015

Numbers-wise it’s only a handful more than the time I sang 45 songs in the month of May 2014 alone, but I sang a lot of good stuff in 2015.

It started with a pair of songs at the first Karaoke Underground party in San Francisco, and grew and grew from there. Highlights (besides the KU stuff) included “96 Tears” which was surprisingly awesomely fun to do even though it’s real simple, “Diane Young” because the baby-baby-babys are so fun, “Surf Wax” because the audience loooooved it so hard, “Honey Bunny” because I mean c’mon GIRLS, MAN, and “Police on My Back” because it was my final song of 2015, on New Year’s Eve in Shibuya and it was awesome.

The point of this list and this post is to encourage everyone to do more karaoke! I got into somewhat late in life, like when I was 28 or something, and I hope to help others avoid this pitfall. Karaoke is killer and it will improve your life, I promise. Here’s the full list:

Update on our pal Jeff Seal’s long-standing habit of pissing on the Mast Bros Chocolate shop

Last week we mentioned how our pal Jeff Seal has been pissing on Mast Bros since long before news of their fraud made it cool to piss on them.

Well, Jeff got at us on Twitter with three fine pieces of further proof of his deeds:

1.)

2.)

3.)

Thanks, Jeff!

Yes.

(But let’s not forget the mimosas. They make the best mimosas in the Mission.)

Biographical Info:

"I joked that living in the Mission would be the end of me. And there were nights where it felt like the case.

One night I went out with my friend Allan to the bar that no one goes to on 16th Street, where I lost half my drink and money on the dance floor. Later we skated down 16th to Evelyn Lee, where I fell off my board and landed on my head as the 22 bus sped past behind me. A sobering moment. At the bar, I sulked and nursed my wounds until Allan put on Amy Winehouse’s 'Valerie.' We danced, he dipped me, and I felt better."
