More info:
Please help us find our BELOVED Yorkie, Winnie. Our car was broken into today and she was stolen along with loose change. We’re guessing they think she is a valuable puppy but she is 12 years old and needs special care. I have had her for all 12 years, took her everywhere with me and my heart is absolutely breaking. PLEASE PLEASE be on the look out. She’s tan and silver and black, 4lbs and still looks like a puppy. Stolen from 26th St. and Valencia in the Mission District. Please call with any information. REWARD!
(Thanks, Stu.)
Wasn’t Sunday in the Mission pretty hot? Maybe she should check with SPCA. Someone might have dropped off Winnie because they thought she was in danger of heat stroke.
My thoughts exactly. They should check ACC.
Nah, it was like 75 at most.
I get that you shouldn’t leave a “loved one” that can’t care for themselves in a car, but this victim blaming, well…I guess it’s not very surprising.
You’re cute!
How about a hug?
I only accept hugs of the naked variety.
@troll: Well, the inside of a car can get pretty hot even if it is just 75 outside. So it is certainly possible somebody rescued the dog.
your comment is ignorance.
lol – love the people here who care more about dogs than people.
also, if you didn’t notice the “rescuers” stole loose change, too, but hey, that doesn’t change the narrative for you geniuses.
Why would someone leave a dog in a car for an hour?
or tied up outside a store? I always tell dogs that I see like that, “If you were my dog, I’d never do this to you”.
Dogs count on you to be the brains of the operation
what do the dogs tell you back?
+1
You’ve inspired me to think deeply about this and you’re right – dogs should only leave the apartment when they’re on a mission devoted only and entirely to dog exercise or dog excretory activities. Hanging out in front of a store would likely lead to joining a street gang or taking up a crack habit. Thanks for inspiring me to reevaluate this.
Dog people
yeah, i’ma have to go with ‘rescued’ not ‘stolen’
I feel very sorry for the dog. First it’s the victim of a selfish human who left it in a hot car for an hour, and then it’s taken who-knows-where. I hope Winnie is somewhere safe, and the original owner never gets another pet to abuse.
P.S. Leaving an animal in the car is decidedly NOT taking it everywhere.
They should not be allowed to CARE for any other animals , ever! You do not leave a dog in a car, period. SHAME ON POO.
The Wall Street Journal reports that Apple acquired LinX, an Israeli Camera technology company that develops cameras for smartphones. While there are some cool features that this tech can bring out in the iPhone 6s camera, the really exciting part is that it could dramatically improve the quality of iPhone photos.
