At least Australia has the excuse of being a desert island peopled entirely by criminals. Makes sense that stuff would be more expensive there.
How do you think they pay for the armed guards that keep the criminals at bay while you eat said toast? ps. Does the drink come with it? pps. The server gets a month vacation per year and time and a half for working weekends.
