It’s a Guatemalan street specialty known as a shuco, and you can get one at a new spot on 22nd Street called Los Shucos.

Does this place have an address?
I had something similar in Vina del Mar, Chile and it was legit the roughest thing I’ve ever eaten. This looks bangin’ tho. Hopefully it’s a very inauthentic version or it’s a different dish altogether. http://www.foodspotting.com/places/89756-sibaritico-vi%C3%B1a-del-mar
I really hope it tastes as good as it looks. I love the smell of the bacon wrapped dogs on the Mission St. but the taste is always disappointing (and the less said about the bun the better).
Our buns are freshly baked. Gotta love some artisan Shuco bread toasted on the grill…
Bet these street hotdogs are about the lowest quality hotdogs you can buy
I prefer to pay more or hotdogs and sushi myself
You’re in luck, a guy handed me a flyer last night. Its 3224 22nd St. Their website is http://www.losshucos.com.
That picture is making me hungry!
Between Bartlett and Mission.
Thank you K!

It was great meeting you, my wife can’t wait to sample your awesome treats.
How much are they? Big enough for a meal, or need two?
Tried them out on Friday, and it was freaking delicious. I will definitely be back.
