Is this bad for your bike? Because I did something like this and now I’m worried about the whole thing crumbling from rust or some shit like that.

Hose it off and wash your clothes. SF has a combined sewer system so there is a good chance that some sewage is involved in that flood.
Are you sure about that? I thought most of the storm drains didn’t go through the sewage system? (Hence the “Drains to Bay” stencils, etc)
Yikes they are right! I’m never walking in a backed up sewer puddle again.

Wow! So what’s up with the “Drains to Bay” stencils?
They do drain to the bay after going through a treatment plant. During a big storm though the treatment plants get bypassed, putting street runoff and sewage directly into the bay.
You generally only see those outside of SF.
Are you kidding me – those are all over the place in SF… you’ve never seen the crab pic by a drain in SF?

Finally, do not make the father of the groom speech too long, you don’t want to bore people but rather give advice, add some humor and then finish and wish them the best of luck with their marriage. wedding speech example
In major storms it drains to the Bay – or doesn’t drain as the case may be. Most of the time the storm drains go to sewage treatment plants.
The drain to the bay symbols are for awareness, not to throw used car oil or paint products into sewers ,because it goes out to the bay.
pee is sterile. so just piss all over your bike & yourself & you’ll be fine.
Or just put some pegs on the back and give R. Kelly a lift.
The key part of your question is “shit like that”
Yes, it is.
well, at least it finally slows them down at an intersection.
Not only is your bike done but you are probably going to die.
Go get your bottom bracket looked at. That’s the thing most likely to be damaged by being submersed in water.
Yup, bottom bracket and possibly hubs. Maybe want to drain the frame if its steel. Don’t go crazy with the hose, high pressure water is no good for bearings.
If you don’t know how to maintain a BB and/or hubs, now would be a good time to learn, it’s easy!
Totally hardcore, bro
If your bike is gonna get damaged by biking through a little water then you need to get a less-fragile bike.
