Who the fuck would ever want to go anywhere that has a “bar program”? Seriously.
Doesn’t “bar program” just mean they try to come up with drink ideas? Why would that bother you? I want chefs to come up with dishes and musicians to come up with songs; so it would be strange to tell the bartender, “stop! There’s nothing else I might enjoy!” Beers are great. Shots are fun. Other things may be, too.
Why call it a “bar program”, or “beer program”, or “cheese program”? It sounds really, really, really pretentious and lame. Which is exactly the kind of crowd these types of places attract. This neighborhood has really gone to shit. It’s sad.
Gotta call it something. Why do you call yourself “daggers”? It sounds really, really, really… oh, never mind.
Dunno about the drinks or the establishment, just know that I like the drink title, “Cortez the Killer”. One of my all-time fave Crazy Horse jams. That part where Neil sadly creaks, “Cortez, Cortez” slays me.
Yeah, but the drink is bottomless. At first you love it. But as it goes on (and on) you’re amazed you’re still drinking it. Then slowly upset. But as the drink goes on (and on, it never ends), you warm to it again, eliding over the constancy of it, because now you’re buzzed and life is coming up Millhouse (insert your name). It’s a long time before you drink it again.
The best thing about this place is that you can take your drink outside to their little alcove and sit on the benches or next to the fires. Sweet.
Tequila drinks for people who don’t like Tequila
Nine dollar drinks. Nine dollar drinks.
You don’t get out of the Mission much, do you? Wait, take that back, you don’t get out INTO the Mission, either. Puerto Alegre has a load of +nine dollar tequila drinks. I would wager large sums of money that several other bars and restaurants do, too.
$9 drinks are only acceptable now that Valencia = Chestnut.
Ugh ate here the other day – it’s like an expensive Chilis. Food was shit and the service was all about the upsell. $5 for corn tortillas that I didn’t even need (I got stew). Thanks, but no thanks.
