This is a silly “I met a famous person” story. About 2 years ago, I was in Kauai and she was staying at a resort right next to where I was, so I saw her on the beach every day. We have the same hair–explodes into huge kinky afro when wet–and she was one of the very few black girls I’ve ever seen who jumped right in without freaking about getting her hair wet. So after maybe the third day of seeing her on the beach, she gave me a huge smile and said something about being hair twins in the cutest Carribean island girl ever. I have to admit that I instantly had a girl crush.
