So how about it? I’ve heard good things about Shotwell’s and the Sycamore.

My group found Dr. Teeth’s trivia…much like the bar…to be very Marina-centric.
Lots of celebrity gossip questions, etc.
Celebrity gossip – That is about the most trivial knowledge to have.

If you want an ego boost, The Phoenix is a sure bet for anyone with a middle school education. You will walk out of there feeling like a Rhodes Scholar.

Everytime I have been there for it, it has occurred organically. There were enough people at the bar who had finished watching whatever game was on and the bartender (shouts to the red head in the sleeveless ride the lightning shirt. i wanna eat irish nachos off your belly) stepped up and assumed the role of quizmaster. I don’t think there is any fixed night.
Elixir on Tuesday can be good, if it’s not too crowded.
Apparently Rosamunde is starting a trivia night next Monday, too.
Monday night trivia at the Sycamore is pretty awesome – outdoor seating, a range of easy to hard questions, and they promise that there will be sangria soon!
Sycamore is pretty bad. Most of their questions are ridiculously easy and the sound system is terrible – if you’re outside you can’t hear half the time.
Best place for trivia in the Mission is Edinburgh Castle in the Tenderloin.

Tue night at the Bitter End. Well it was on tue a couple years ago.
Still there, but in the Richmond, so maybe a bit of a trek for folks in the Mission.

Not in the mission, but Escape From New York Pizza downtown hosts Trivia every Thursday at 7pm. This Escape from NY has a BAR (called King Kong Bar) including home-made sangria and beers on tap. Different trivia host every week, so questions vary. Pizza, beer, sangria, knowledge, what more could you ask for?

I wish one of the local spots did Wednesday or Thursday nights, Monday and Tuesday are generally stay at home nights. In other news, I’m pretty lame.
