The same thing happened to my ex, way back in the days before Missed Connections or Craigslist. This guy she met at a bar put up flyers all over the neighborhood looking for her. She eventually saw one and called the guy and they went out a few times. So it actually works sometimes.
Coincidentally, her name was Lisa too.
