Up top is a pile of pineapple-grilled onions, the kind you’ll find at Eagle Dogs. Below that is a frybread taco by Rocky Yazzie. Both vendors will be on the scene at the American Tripps Berlin-Style Ping Pong Block Party tonight at Z Space and Coffee bar (on Florida Street between 17th and Mariposa).
There will also be some classic Berlin cinema on the big screen, and lots of fresh new paddles to break in. And remember the party goes real late. (And pretty much all of the action takes place indoors, except for the beer garden.)
again and again with the ping pong thing? are you investors or on the payroll?
If we all work together, it can become A Thing. Until then, it’ll be like Techcrunch back in the Twitterbook days.
It’s my party, bro! But also I just love ping pong. Throw a weekly ping pong party; I will blog about it.
uhhh, if its weekly then we know it will happen again…you know..next week… so no need to re-post and post about it…its nice that you are doing something nice for the community, as well as sharing something you like to do with the community…but we got it ,,, you have ping pong party every week..kewl…NEXT ?
Well, that brings up the question of: is Mission Mission some kind of publicly financed, public-service, publicly elected blog… or is it Allan Hough’s private neighborhood blog, with which he may do as he wills? If you agree with the latter question, then you are pissing into the wind if you suggest that Allan should restrain himself in announcing events (even weekly events) for which he is an avid enthusiast.
If you agree with the former question, then you should start a blog, and evaluate for yourself the quantity of piss you are drenched with on a regular basis.
+1
sadly i agree, and the bad part is i went to this ping pong party as buised wayne a couple of time… and i enjoyed it.. iguess i preffer random post that the weekly “announcement” ….
The thing is, it’s not weekly. And it’s not always at the same location.
(That said, we’re doing it again this Friday at the Secret Alley. Expect a post tomorrow.)
i would pass on future installments if they are advertised this much. This one lacked a lot of the charm and individuality of the past ones. Not to mention they pretty much shut down the main venue over 3 hours early.
They ran out of pickled figs for the Mission-style streetfood. Sorry!
batman agress…
ahsah– they didn’t shut down anything early.
The party was from 7-11pm at Z Space, and 11pm-3am at Coffee Bar.

I was definitely there until 3am…
What constitutes ‘Mission-style’? Is it not just street food? Or is that a euphemism for something else?
There’s nothing that says “Mission-style” more than “Frybread Taco.”
Why is it food never looks as good in a picture as it does in real life?
I was there. It was bad ass! Thanks Mission Mission for spreading the word.
