Eater SF reports:
On Sunday night the Ken Ken Ramen pop-up served its last noodle at The Corner. Meanwhile, the managers gave away free ice cream to diners as they moved everything out of the basement during service. There was a flood, they said, so they had to leave. But The Corner is in deeper water than that. SFoodie spoke with chef Joanna Karlinsky of the Sweet Joe’s pop-up, who said the Health Dept. recently inspected the space, finding it was only set up to be a wine bar, not a full service kitchen. Naturally, they had to cease operations.

The owner must be very happy; he worked so very hard to make sure that this would happen.
No shit. I mean failing to market the place could be overlooked as a rookie mistake, but the owner isn’t a rookie.
Failing to get the proper permits is a sure sign that he didn’t intend to succeed in the first place.
Hmm. I was there on Saturday night with some friends and it was “Crazy Thai,” a literally empty Thai restaurant that we were stupid enough to sit down at and receive the shittiest food and service in the Mission.
There was a sign on the window from the Crazy Thai owner saying she was the “original Yamo” and “I’m back.” I don’t know what that meant.
I will miss Ken Ken on Thursdays. Crazy Thai is horrible. Don’t eat there. Let it be empty.
