Saturday night on Valencia Street. An angry mob marches past waving banners and exclaiming that SFPD had killed someone that day. Patrol cars blocked traffic ahead of them, keeping them safe, and trailed along behind, along with some other serious hardware.
At one point, demonstrators stopped a paddy wagon in its tracks by lacing a big black monolith in its path:
Sorry for the blur, but here you can see a squad car full of police in full riot gear:
This guy brought up the rear, ready to batteram stuff out the way (although he handle that monolith business earlier — an officer exited a vehicle to move it by hand, speaking into his radio, ” We’ve got a big black monolith blocking our path”):
Then they rode off into the sunset, Valencia Street lit up like downtown Reno by the flashing lights of a dozen police vehicles:
The punk had a gun and it turns out that was wanted for murder in Seattle.
There is no gun in any of the footage on Youtube (for example, show me the gun in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AmT4lG_tYK8 ) and the police failed to find any weapon despite trying very hard. Since when did the police get the powers to kill unarmed murder suspects in the street?
gun noted on video in the updated link above…
I’m not going to say that that is not a gun, I simply don’t have a clue. How sure are you sure that it is one? It could be anything, cell phone, bit if trash , a rock… maybe even a hand gun… If it is a gun then don’t you think it is weird that no one is paying it any attention whatsoever, including the police?
the gun was recovered from the person who took it.. shells that wore not the cops at the scene match the recovered gun.. this guy was wanted in questioning of the murder of a pregnant woman last week in Seattle.
What happened, Jonboy? Cat got your tongue??
Did your research show that this jackass likely killed a pregnant lady in Seattle last week?
Leave it to a clueless hipster to pick the wrong “protest.”
the dead dude was not only wanted for murder of a pregnant teenager, he was also a sex offender on parole.
Clearly the cops were just power trippin’.
Seems to me he was asking for it as well, but I’m not a judge and I don’t have all of the facts. When did this country begin believing in the ever-so prevalent “Guilty, until proven innocent.” We don’t know the whole story.
the american justice system doesn’t want the truth it demands vengeance for the innocent
^^ victim rather than innocent
And anyway, why the hell did the police leave that gun there? You know they saw it dropped when I guess the guy dropped it like 20 feet away from where he was. If he didn’t drop that, it could have been planted there. I wouldn’t put the SFPD past shady shit like that.
Yeah, well, you know, that’s just, like, your opinion, man.
: )
Cops be power trippin. This calls for WAR ON THE BART SYSTEM!!!!!!1! Fuck trains.

I think the Civic Center incident could have been handled better and avoided all together, but this is totally different.
I guess it’s different because it’s just so cool to hate cops. Especially twice in a month.
This is a good article – http://sfbayview.com/2011/why-should-you-die-for-a-transfer/
nobody knew that The dude had a weapon, until he shot at the police. In result, they shot back and hit the guy.
Shooot..If someone shoots at me, I’ll shoot back. Protect yourselves.
