My husband was recently in a collision on his motorcycle with an ambulance that ran a light before activating their siren/lights. He will eventually recover, but is out of commission for some months. The accident was on June 10 around 4p at the intersection of 16th St. & Potrero Ave.
The police were called, but we are still trying to find any witnesses that might have seen something.
Please leave a comment below or write to contact@missionmission.org if you might be able to help.
UPDATE: The above video is just for illustrative purposes.
That’s 16th & Potrero?
Oh… that’s just another ambulance/bike crash. Never mind.
I don’t get it. That video is not of this incident — that clearly isn’t 16th and Potrero, it doesn’t even look like anywhere in San Francisco. (Is that a tractor coming down the street after the crash?)
This video appears to be Turkey, not San Francisco.
Yes, the accident occured @ 16th&Potrero
Not sure about the comme ts about the video, I did not submit any video & cannot view on my blackberry -
Thanks!
Okay folks, the nice folks at MissionMission posted the video for illustrative purposes- painful to watch.
The accident did occur in San Francisco and if you hear anything, please reply! Much appreciated.
i work right by there and was walking back from lunch when this happened. i only came on the scene right after the accident, however, so no dice on the witness thing.
the bike was still on its side in the middle of the street.
good luck, and i wish you both the best.
Thanks icing!
That is one of the worst intersections in the city.
That was me on the tractor! I wish it got better gas mileage, still waiting for the hybrid….
Is it just me or did the motorcycle in this vid fall before hitting the ambulance? Maybe that’s what bikers do in the face of imminent demise? Enlighten please?
thank GOD, he is safe
