Not true. Google runs their own busses now (and has for some time.) They now run something like the second largest bus system in the US. . .or some impressive figure like that.
GAP used to use CoachUSA. . .and prolly still does.
I’m surprised to see it isn’t a MUNI bus, several of their drivers should not be on the road.
At least as recently as this last November (when I stopped working there), the majority of the Mission route busses were still CoachUSA, ditto the Civic Center ones. (The Noe Valley bus was still Bauers until quite recently, but I think they may have finally shifted that one over to Coach as well.)
Their new Van Hool coaches are, I think, still operated by CoachUSA drivers, although I’m less certain of that. Contractors in any case.
Normally, I would have a knee-jerk reaction of something like, “Happy ending, wow!” But, recently, a tour bus almost tipped-over on me while trying an incredibly stupid right turn move onto Stockton, so a plague on both their houses.
actually it was the tour bus that drove into the cab. then like ten minutes later cops were cuffing the cabbie whose shirt had mysteriously become torn and was falling off of him? yick.
Usually I would be ranting about how bad cabs are, but I only use Luxor and I know that the majority of them are very easy going drivers(with the exception of this one driver whom wouldn’t stop hitting on me and wanted to suck on my something….YUCK, aaaaah gross motha!!!), unlike the fucking maniacs driving yellow cabs.
I recall a few rainy days that the cab driver decided to run a red light, then get stopped by the cops. He was trying to get me to lie to the cops. I just got out of the cab and left. Told the cab that he was trying to get me to lie to him.
That’s actually almost certainly a Google employee bus. (They switched most of their routes from Bauer’s to CoachUSA about two years ago now.)

You mean private bus systems right?

wait, the cops actually did something about an SF taxi driver doing something dangerous and illegal? they must be ushering a new policy.

is it just me, or are these tour buses getting bigger ?

In my frat days we called this a wedgie.
