I give it six hours after he puts the finishing touches on it – though with his sloppy technique you can’t really tell if he finished or ADD struck – before it gets buffed.
Zip Car will love to see that he’s using their wheels as a scaffold.

There was a degree of irony in the way I typed that; you may underscore it for the slow-witted if you like.
So this was the weird corn mural, right? With the ear of corn wearing a Korn shirt with his arm wrapped around his busty corn girlfriend? I’ve walked by this hungover so many times on the way to Four Barrel and been like, “What the hell is up with all the corn” and after a month or so I realized it’s on the wall of a **maize kitchen**. Duh. Whatever though, that mural made my brain hurt too many times, good riddance.
It was pretty awful… just a bunch of generic hard to read text (welcome to the early 80′s!) with some ads for Pica Pica.
What’s a maize kitchen anyway? Is that just like, a euphemism for ‘bougie Mexican restaurant’?

That tiger was awful. I was so glad to see it get covered up. I walked by as they were painting over it and immediately sent out a mass text celebrating the demise of that piece of shit.

What did he do in Chinatown? I work in the mission and follow what happens in Caledonia Alley and on 15th/Valencia. I don’t really understand what it’s all about. I’m pretty clueless though.

No, Dan Plasma is not very wack at all, compared to people who bother to hate him on blogs in an obsessive way. I mean, really? You waste your time posting hate about someone you clearly cannot understand or relate to? That’s fucked up, dude!
If you think you can paint better than him (maybe you can!), then you should be out there doing it. Every time you post some shit about him, without doing anything better, it just makes you look weak.

Dunno about anything about him on a personal level, but his artwork sure is better than the tagger crap that covered it.
I like to watch Dan paint his murals. I go up and tell him it looks great, probably his best yet. Then when the sun sets I grab a can of flat black and piss all over it, and wait for the next one.
