There are better ways to express dissatisfaction with these new parking meters that accept debit cards and adjust the price based on available spaces. You can weigh in on the Parking Meter Cards Program on Yelp, or even contact the SFMTA directly.

Wait.. the meters are already adjusting the prices according to the available spaces? I don’t think that “feature” has been implemented yet.
It sounds to me like SFPark is already doing this in designated areas.

The new LEDs blinking is pretty damn annoying when you are walking down the street.
I think the “new” meters were a conspiracy to add more metered spaces.
KILL YOUR CAR!
Not as easy as the “KILL YOUR TV” bumper stickers, now is it?
Love them.
Kiya and Ariel,
SFpark meters currently feature standard pricing http://www.sfmta.com/cms/pmeter/meterrates.htm in all pilot areas.
Soon after the launch of parking availability information this spring, the rates for SFpark meters will be adjusted monthly according to demand http://sfpark.org/about-the-project/project-timeline/

Thanks for clarifying, David. This wasn’t clear to me, but sometimes I don’t pay enough attention.
