Vic totally killed it with his shot of the bomb-bot (flawed though the bomb-bot may be), but I stand by my flare-heavy RAZR pics here.
Oooh, here’s a new fact! This shot of an SF Community College District Police car might mean this all had something to do with the Mission branch of CCSF:
(I checked Twitter also, and mind you this is all five hours after the fact — I had to watch two hours of Breaking Bad and then go to Slow Jams, yo — but still nobody seems to know what exactly went down. Maybe we’ll call SFPD Media Relations in the morning.)
For the time being, Valencia is closed between 21st and 23rd, so be sure to tell your cab driver to take an alternate route.
Previously:
Bomb scare at City College on 22nd and Valencia. I assume there’s no bomb since this cop is walking away from the scene with the bomb-bot.
More details as we find out.
Our contest ends tomorrow at noon. The picture above is an entry in said contest. There’ve only been a couple dozen entries (most of which you can see here), so the odds are still pret-ty good.

Eater SF reports:
On Sunday night the Ken Ken Ramen pop-up served its last noodle at The Corner. Meanwhile, the managers gave away free ice cream to diners as they moved everything out of the basement during service. There was a flood, they said, so they had to leave. But The Corner is in deeper water than that. SFoodie spoke with chef Joanna Karlinsky of the Sweet Joe’s pop-up, who said the Health Dept. recently inspected the space, finding it was only set up to be a wine bar, not a full service kitchen. Naturally, they had to cease operations.
Read on for info on the fates of all the pop-ups this news affects.
Even though our vaunted Indian summer hasn’t been as spectacular as in years past, that hasn’t stopped everyone from taking their tops off. Take these ambitious folks for instance, who optimistically decided it was time for a DIY convertible and let the sparks fly on a recent sunny Sunday afternoon. Xzibit would be proud.
