This one was fucking WELDED ON. And still gone in 60 seconds. Its owner left the bike locked up Valencia Street near 16th — for no more than four minutes. And solid gone.
Apparently this doesn’t only happen in the Tenderloin.
WELDED ON.

There are times when I wish everyone didn’t have a camera on their phone.

As the story goes, it all started as a joke. It was in Florida, 32 years ago, that Chuck and Lou Ann Best adopted a little gray squirrel who had been orphaned by a hurricane. Then they taught it how to waterski. You can read the longer version on Twiggy’s official homepage.
Reader Andy P. wants to know:
I was riding north on S Van Ness back to work and saw all kinds of commotion on 22nd street, anyone know what happened?
Luckily, tipster Eugene C. has the answer!
Nothing terribly exciting and you can’t see much in the pic, but two pickups got into an accident on 22nd at Capp in front of the El Trebol.
So there you go. Nice work team!
UPDATE: More pics!! And word of an injury. Also, SFist has more story.
I actually know a couple of veterans of the Coffee Wars. Most of them switched to tea. A few defectors are said to still be in hiding at McLaren park.

How do you say “Viral Marketing” in Spanish, anyway? The answer may shock and educate you:
I’m totally stoked that Robin Nolan is performing at Revolution Cafe tonight.
Robin is a certifable guitar god from Amsterdam that plays Django Reinhardt-style jazz, with his own unique spin. He can shred the Django stuff with the best of them, but isn’t afraid to let his rock and experimental influences make their way in the mix. For example, check out his bitchin’ AC/DC “For Those About To Rock” intro to his recent set in Seattle:
He also literally wrote the book(s) on this style of music that everyone, including myself, learned from.
The show goes from about 9pm-12am and there’s no cover, so be sure to tip these guys a lot. And who knows, I might be joining them for a couple of tunes. This place tends to be a shit show every night, so get there early if you want a seat.
