TK was a bit underwhelmed:
I mean, they played great and everybody loved them and everything but I was just sitting there waiting for something to happen and it never did.
Read on for expert analysis of the totally square Greek Theatre crowd, jerks that talk the whole time, and some seriously deep thoughts on the nature of the Arcade Fire.
They were so good it is now cool to hate them.
I’m sure THEY were awesome. But that venue is craptastic.
Highly disagree. 2 of my favorite live shows ever were at The Greek–Joe Jackson in 1989 and Elvis Costello in 1992.
I personally thought the Saturday night show was great. The crowd was meh, but there were definitely quite a few long-time supporters there, judging by the crowd reaction to the songs played from Funeral.

The Sunday night show was solid, although it seemed like they were trying to restrain themselves, i.e., not to rock out too hard. And, they were making fun of the audience for being so calm and not being able to crowdsurf (both valid points), which gets any band points in my book.
