A lovely video of Oakland, by Conrad Tse. Doesn’t it look nice? Or maybe it’s just the fancy lens and soothing piano music. Either way, you’ll all be living there once your parents cut you off, so start getting to know it.

We’ve got a couple of cute comment threads going on the Mission Mission Facebook wall right now. Check it out if you want a little more context. And I guess watch your back if you run into Trixie at Dolores Park. Colby, see you in 17.
You’ve never been to Oldies Night at the Knockout? Young people! Drink specials! Oldies! Dancing! It can be a serious shit-show, but it’s a time. And look at this pretty poster art!
Marginally Yours brings us this titillating scrap of Mission history. What’s he thinking about? What’s he looking at? Does somebody have a box of those shirts collecting dust in a basement somewhere? Where they at?
I assume this place went the way of Valencia Street’s funky, secret bathhouse for women, which, so I’ve heard, was definitely for the discriminating female.

PARKing Day is here again, so go ahead and take advantage of the opportunity to hang out in a parking space for the whole afternoon. As usual, SF Appeal has an excellent interactive map detailing known PARK locations, so have at it!
Also, today would probably not be a great day to try to find street parking on major SF thoroughfares.
While this is definitely a strikingly complex and beautifully designed map of San Francisco, its omission of the Mission is quite puzzling, especially given big-time NYC’s recent fascination with us. Where are the micro-citizens of this town going to get their burritos?

It’s come to my attention a lot of people haven’t been to Heron’s Head Park.
If you haven’t been to Heron’s Head Park, get thee there. Here’s a map.
We may have been duped, folks. Elle Ko, the girl we thought might have been “the next KKKatie,” yesterday tweeted this casual plug for an upcoming Levi’s promotional event. Is there really a court date? Does Elle really exist? What used garment are you going to trade for trade for a brand-new pair of Levi’s?
Here is Elle’s Twitter, and here is Elle’s tweet.

While visiting the fair city of NYC, MM reader Zarah spotted an article in the Metro paper that purports to show one “how to do San Fran like a local.” What are some of the things she learned?
San Francisco is one of the coolest places on earth–period.
The Mission District is the place for lunch, in particular, Taqueria Cancun & Ti Couz–altho, they also recommend the Marina for dinner, so meh.
I should spend the afternoon in “Delores Park” to watch the “enjoyable sideshow of hip (or weird) locals.”
