Is Santa Rosa’s latest piece of public art a stunning monument to cycling, or a waste of a shit-ton of perfectly good bike parts?
Inhabitat has lots more pictures right about here.
UPDATE: It is a stunning monument to cycling built with unusable bike parts.
How about, with all the nooks and crannies to catch small pockets of rainwater, it’s an awesome mosquito breeding tower!
It elicits one of those “Coooooooool”s where the Co comes out really strong, but the ooooooool kind of trails off as you realize how not cool something actually is.
Given that this is in Santa Rosa, I’m surprised they didn’t recycle the bikes into bongs.
“community bike DIY places are thrilled unusable parts are not becoming land fill”
Dang. I just linked to something and commented on it without reading it. I apologize, everyone. Thanks, Matt.
Lay it end to end on 18th st, and it would just blend in.
“stunning monument to cycling, or a waste of a shit-ton of perfectly good bike parts?” – Can’t it be both?
