We Built This City spotted a specimen (or two) in Glen Canyon today. For those that don’t know, Glen Canyon is 2.4 miles southwestish of the Skechers store. Hold on to your babies!

A friend in Silver Lake walked into her living room to find her two kids watching tv, the old dog asleep at their feet, and Mr. Coyote standing behind them, staring. It was very stubborn when she screamed and jumped up and down to get it to leave. It took its sweet time.
It was the same one, but a woman I talked to on the trail said this was the juvenile offspring of two parents who have a den up by the big rock formation on the northeast side of the park. We were attacked by coyotes twice while out running when I lived in the east bay and both times my older dog Rocket needed 40+ stitches. Seriously, be careful out there!
That is amazing. What a city. I love it.

A bit freaky indeed, since surely my pup would want to play with them. There are postings around Glen Canyon about how to react to them. I assume I’ll forget all this when I see one of course.
I wish We Built This City had comments (thanks, tumblr!) because I always want to give props for the GP reprazenting!
OK, OK, in the name of postponing work this morning, I added comments.
There have been coyotes living on Bernal too. They must enjoy the view of the mission from there as much as I do
