Action in the Streets

Again, tell me they were filming a movie or something and this wasn’t all some kind of violent result of Kevin Montgomery’s nerd mixer clashing with the Self Edge denim bonanza. (Kevin and Kiya are not the best of friends.)

    I spoke with one of the people standing outside the blockade at 9:30pm. Supposedly it was Homes Not Jails and/or similar anarchist groups occupying vacant buildings following a dance party in the streets. My source claimed to be a UCSC student reporter.

    If they are like “protesters” past, they knocked over some Weekly boxes and spray painted a few (latino-owned) storefronts. Then they drive mom’s volvo back to Marin and went to bed. Oh the humanity!
