Jay Reatard's In Heaven

I’ve been looking for this song all week, and finally found it just now deeep in some Google search results, on SF Weekly’s All Shook Down of all places. Jay posted it on his blog a couple summers ago saying something like that it was just a modest little experiment. It’s an oddity in that it’s got a girl singing most of the vocals and is kind of upbeat and sweet: “In Heaven” by Jay Reatard is here.

Awesome version. Pixies version is also awesome, of course. But Wikipedia’s page on “Eraserhead” doesn’t include Jay’s version, if any Wiki editors want to add it in . . . Here’s the excerpt from Wikipedia:

“In Heaven”, the song sung by the Lady in the Radiator, has been covered by Bauhaus, Devo, Norma Loy, WC3 (à trois dans les WC), Haus Arafna, Miranda Sex Garden, Annie Christian, John Hasbrouck, Pankow, Pixies, The Sherrysa-Whore, Desolation Yes, Bang Gang, Helios, Donny Who Loved Bowling, Forgotten Sunrise and Tuxedomoon. Indie rockers Modest Mouse borrowed lines from “In Heaven” for “Workin’ on Leavin’ the Livin’”, as did the anarcho-punk band Rubella Ballet for their song “Slant and Slide”. Scottish 1980s band Win! covered the Lady in the Radiator’s song as a B-side on their 1986 hit single “You’ve Got the Power”. The Dead Kennedys reference the film in the song “Too Drunk to Fuck” in the line ‘You bawl like the baby in Eraserhead’.
