Mac and Cheese in the Streets

Check out this Mission sidewalk graffiti, courtesy of Don’t Ask Me, I Just Work Here:

I JUST ATE SOME OF THIS SHIT FOR LUNCH!!!!!

So anyway, The Wall Street Journal says hipsters in New York and California love mac and cheese.   No big deal, but Safewaygirl totally called it like two days before that article even came out.

Where’s the best m & c in town?  I would say Maverick, but I talk about Maverick too much.

Maverick is teh sux — at least, in regard to their behavior toward the community they squat upon. I believe I have illustrated this more than once here. They dump their garbage in the neighborhood on a regular basis, and they snark at their employees. ‘Nuff said!

The best mac ‘n’ cheese is my own recipe, of course. I don’t expect you to believe it but, with 3 cheeses, scratch-made white sauce, and the addition of capers… you’ll always wonder…

    • Capers!!!!!!!!!! Now I’ve heard everything!

You wrote that with a straight face? On a blog that regularly promotes vegan “food”? Well, maybe you didn’t. :)

And what do I know… except that the pay is pretty good for coming up with ideas like capers in mac ‘n’ cheese.

        (‘Nother smiley.)
