I’m really digging the new SF Secrets video blog. The host has one of those great personalities that screams “I do a lot of drugs” or “I’m a little too good with children” and, in a pro-level Borat manner, he always wears the same outfit. But seriously, up until today, I did not know I could volunteer to play with belligerent, stray alligators and rattlesnakes at 15th and Harrison. Secret ruined.
Animal Care and Control is San Francisco’s most hardcore pound. They often receive lizards, rattlesnakes, flying squirrels, and not long ago they brought in an alligator found in Lake Merced. Today I received a tour from Rebecca Katz, who is not only the director of the ACC, but she can charm snakes and is rumored to have dated Crocodile Dundee in her early teens.

Hey! These are the guys that picked up my African Grey Parrot from Mission Cliffs.
When I was there there was a duck that would wag its tail when you went up to it.
