UPDATE: (Via direct message)
The best part about this is the Chronicle, two weekend ago, got Humphry, Bi-Rite, and Mitchell’s locations all mixed up for the bicycle-ice cream ride. Win!
They got it reaaaaaaaaaaaally wrong. I made and sent them the map using google maps– I don’t know how they screwed it up that bad. Of course, it didn’t stop the 150+ folks from finding it. But hey, when you lay off 1/2 of your staff, sometimes the janitor has to do the graphic design, right…?
Also, what’s HS twitter referring to…?
Nevermind– found it and SFGate corrected it. I wonder what costs more– a fact-checker or time fixing errors… http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2009/07/22/DDRP18RPTU.DTL
Well, I’m fairly sure that the daily print pubs don’t employ real fact checkers any more. And then they come around and ask us ‘bloggers’ if we care whether our facts are right. Whatevs, I say. It’s their own funeral.
Too bad their ice cream still tastes like soap.
