I really want to check it out this time. Too bad its soon to be over. If I can just remember… Sunday morning let’s see: Hangover. Coffee. NYT. CBS Sunday Morning. Hot Shower. Hunger(!). Mother phone call. Friends call to catch up on last night’s shenanigans. Kick cute pick-up out of house (if mother phone call didn’t do the trick). Walk the dog. Think about food again. HUNGER(!!!) Check the weather. Is it lovely? Yes? Then note to self: Sunday Streets in the best possible place in the bay area… say a prayer. Because I could just end up sleeping till 4 PM.
What I didn’t understand is why half the bike shops were closed last time during Sunday Streets. You would think it would be the perfect time to promote your business and tune up some bikes, but no.
Because a lot of their customers drive to the store, perhaps?
Last time kinda sucked actually. There were really only a couple high points:
1. Kids got space to ride bikes without risking their lives to cars.
2. The Aztec dancers on 24th Street.
Aside from that, there was little to see or do. Hopefully that will change this time.
