It’s _nave,_ not knave.
The church is the former Golden Gate Lutheran Church. It closed several years ago when the congregation couldn’t afford to meet the city’s earthquake retrofit requirements for masonry buildings.
No dude, there is an honest-to-goodness man of humble birth in there. Believe.
I’m thinking about turning my home into a church to get tax credits to pay for my retrofitting.
this is DEFINITELY going to drive up rents on Valencia Street.
gentrification is nigh!
For a building which used to be a house of worship, the remodel makes the space look soulless.
Maybe ATA should move in, get it good and grungy — you know, soulful.
It’s too big for American Apparel — those wood floors would be good a Gap though.
In all seriousness, I’ve heard that charter schools are looking at it.
a school WOULD be nice.
or, you know, Abercrombie & Fitch.
anyone know who’s looking at New College building?
I used to practice Tai Chi at that church! It’s a block from my apartment and I’m sad that it can’t be the Lutheran Church anymore. They offered many services there for the homeless, and the addicted, and the hungry, and for the poor. They are missed.
I want it really bad…I better get rich quick!
probably one of you hipster dumbfucks.
Nah, hipster dumbfuck conforming jumbo loans max out at $729,750 these days.
Maybe it would be a good studio a la verga, where one could make meaningful art.
i don’t think this neighborhood can support another school or church at the moment . . . maybe at least a place of worship for a religion other than Christianity?
