I got on the 12-Folsom today en route from work to Dolores Park. Was gonna be a relaxing ride, but no sooner did I settle into my seat and open up my book than this lunatic (pictured) started barking:
GOD BLESS YOU ALL! Ban the Koran! Ban the Buddha! BAN THAT ABORTION! The government needs to protect the Holy Bible — THE ONLY TRUE WORD OF GOD!
The bus driver had already issued a warning, but by this point had pulled over and powered down the whole rig. Dude took the hint (apparently he gets kicked off buses on the regular) and started making his way down the rear steps, stopping midway to encore thusly:
BAN THAT GAY MARRIAGE… if you want to honor your mother and father! SHAME ON ALL OF YOU!
Another commuter, clearly over it, could be heard muttering, “C’mon, one more step.” Finally, he took it, and we all got to move on. Anybody else seen Thumpy do his thing?

I’ve seen that guy ranting on the 14. The American flag might be a new thing though.
today he had no flag. instead a cane and an empty laundry cart
I’ve seen that guy quite a few times at the Powell cable car turn around, with Bible and flag in tow. It seems that tourists and locals alike all seem pretty capable of ignoring this guy.
I’ve seen him on the 12 Folsom before sans flag. I think he was ranting about how San Francisco was lost and we need to reclaim the city for God. The driver didn’t say anything and the bus was nearly empty (though I’ve never been on a 12 with no seats available).
Oh yeah, this guy hits the 14. He relay went to town on gay marriage and gays in general. The guys on the back of the 14 kept yelling for him to shut up, He got a homeless lady to pray with him right before he got tossed off.
I always laugh when I see him near the cable car stop at Powell, because he’s ruining everyone’s vacation, but if I had to deal with him on my way home from work, it would not be so funny…
I’ve seen him a few times on the 22 and the 33. SO COMPLETELY ANNOYING. Take your meds already dude.
oh yes. this guy is a f–king mess. I saw him on the 48 last summer. I asked him, politely no less, to tone it down because he was frightening the hell out my 7 year old son. Of course, he only continued on with his his insane pseudo religious rant. He briefly paused however when this young, white Mission- type girl(you know:the dark bangs, vintage skirt, and thick shoes) got on the bus and sat next to him, unawares of his previous ranting. He whispered something to her, obviously trying to “bust a move”. Well, needless to mention, it didn’t go well and the girl immediately got up and then he started his spiel all over again.
Hello. It is test.
Using internet is simple as hell. But I can tell y ou right now, it can be very hard, if you are the first time user.
So, first thing I suggest – open the Explorer, and type in the address you like.
You’ll get there really fast, it depends on your connection speed.
Good luck.
