We hate to make it three graffiti posts in a row, but it just had to be done. We’ve been wanting to plug the new Girafa pool on Flickr, and the Milpitas Police Department has just provided ample reason. The San Jose Mercury News reports that, according to the fuzz, a recent spate of Girafa bombings in Milpitas is surely “gang related.” Bummer!
Clueless law enforcement aside, what up with Girafa anyway? Lovable new kid on the block, or heavy-handed Ribity wannabe?

Have been following Girafa’s work for a while now. Great stuff, I can see the refined work on gallery walls one day. Talk the folks at Anno Domini. Best obscure spots to see the work: Old CCC business park on Carabbien & Lawrence in Santa Clara. Under 280 bridge that crosses Los Gatos creek, off the creek trail. Trials Pub mens room, First & Devine.

I’m not into scribble, but I Can tell an Artist. This guy is a tru artist and I love seeing his Art pop up in the most random spots. Today I just saw a giraffe on a billboard above the Natasha’s costume shop on Bascom. You can also spot his work if you ride cal train. It’s like where’s waldo but with a giraffe.

Girafa isn’t a Ribbity biter. You have tones of people doing characters from Jaber heads, ribbitys, umbrella, birds, horses, snails ect.
Gang related … I would say not, but graffiti is considered gang related to authorities.
